You shouldn't have to ring three places to find out who's coming
You're pulled over with the hazards ticking and cars going past too fast, and the first thing you're thinking isn't even the car, it's who to actually ring. You call the first number, and you get someone who's busy, or a patrol that's "ten minutes away" and then isn't, and an hour later you've heard nothing. You don't know if anyone comes this far out. You don't know if your car even qualifies.
I answer my own phone, I drive my own truck, and when you ring you're already talking to the person coming, not a call centre working through a list.
What I do is breakdowns and roadside: towing, flat tyres, flat batteries, fuel and winch-outs where the truck can get in. I don't do accident towing and I don't shift shipping containers, and I'll say so straight away rather than take the job and let you down.

What's this going to cost me?
Depends on the job and the distance, so I won't put a number here that won't match your situation. Twenty-eight people have mentioned price in a review without being asked. Not one complained. Worth knowing too: breakdown towing isn't on the government's capped fee schedule the way an accident tow is, so don't assume a number you've seen for that applies here.
How far out do you go?
Singleton, Maitland and Newcastle on a straightforward run. Merriwa and Murrurundi too, further out and slower, but I still cover it.
What if you're already on a job when I ring?
I'm 24 hours, 7 days, and there's one truck, so there will be times I'm already out on a job. Ring anyway. When you get me you're talking to the bloke driving, not someone taking a message, so you'll know where you stand.
Do you do accident towing?
No. Breakdowns and roadside only. If you've had a crash, you need an accident towing business, not me.
Is my car safe on the truck?
Tilt tray, carried not dragged, so a car that won't start or an awkward angle isn't a problem. One truck, one bloke, nobody else touches it in between.
Can I just ring you, or do I need to go through my insurer first?
Just ring, you don't need to go through anyone. And if you've already got roadside cover, ringing me isn't paying twice: you're only charged if I do the job, so there's no cost in finding out what I can do for you first.
